How do I fix HDMI sound and graphics that stopped working after Fall Creators Update?

OMG! Windows introduced their new larger update of Windows 10 recently by forcing out tons of updates at once. And just as I feared, there would be consequences. My Acer Aspire VX 15 experienced the well-known blue screen of the fall creators update 2017. Luckely it repaired itself and another laptop in this household was the next in line. The update went OK, or at least so I thought... All of the sudden the HDMI was not working at all. Windows claims that the driver for both sound and graphics are working fine and a reinstallation of the drivers did not do the trick. The issue appeared on an Acer Aspire V3 772G that has the NVIDIA Geforce 750M graphic card. Is this a known issue of the Fall creators update?

Seemed to be a missing partial update. Works fine now.
