Share an ACER AL2017 monitor to a PC and Macintosh Mini

I have an ACER AL2017

 

I have an ACER AL2017 monitor which has two video inputs 1. DVI-D and 2. VGA    My Mac Mini is hooked up to the DVI-D port. Can I simply hook up a PC to the VGA port and somehow tell the monitor which computers output to display? The majority of my work is done on a Mac but I do use some PC only software under Boot Camp. Switching back and forth between the two OS's is time consuming. Running Parallels or some other WINE solution brings everything to a crawl. I want to use the Mac to run the Mac software, the PC to run the PC software and somehow switch the two between the same monitor on the fly.
