Predator 17 Screen Issue: Purple - Blue patch (spot) on screen (contains pictures)

I bought a brand new Acer Predator 17 G9-793 GTX 1070 with 16gb RAM a week ago, and now it is showing a blue patch (or spot) on the left side (half-way between middle and corner) of the screen like this:1.PNG

Not sure what's causing this. Is there a known fix for this or will I need to send it over to Acer (will have to ship it internationally)?

    It is there all the time right? Definitely an issue with the screen, therefore you should send it for repair to get it fixed.
    Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

    Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

    I would definitely return it or contact Acer for repair. Not much to be done when the screen is bleeding like that.
