It's idle while gaming and not showing temps? Or while sitting on the desktop. If the latter then it is completely normal.

I just got this issue. I was playing Battlefron II Beta from EA. The game caused my computer to hang so I had to hold the power button to force it to shut down. After booting it back up again, PredatorSense thinks the GPU is always idle even though Nvidia GPU activitity shows it becomes active and GPU-Z recognizes activity. I uninstalled and reinstalled PredatorSense and Nvidia drivers multiple times (made sure to do a clean removal) and there was no change. I am on the 17in version of the helios 300.

Small update, as of 30 minutes ago, my GPU is now showing up as active and reporting the correct temperatures. Did nothing to change it. This came back while playing PUBG.

I was having the same problem with my acer predator helios 300 but I fixed it. It was just because of nvidia driver I just downgraded them
and it sensed my temperature again

I too get this issue. A simple sleep and wake up generally resolves this for me. I noticed that this tends to happen more when laptop is restarted. Generally does not occur when waking out of sleep or hibernate.

I had this issue from time to time since I updated the Nvidia driver. Reboot works fine for me.
