Hi guys,

S7-392 turns on but anywhere between 30 secs - 2 mins, it shuts down again. The shutdowns are at random time. This occurs when it is running on battery only. The only way to keep my S7 working is to have the charger plugged in.

I was away for 2 weeks so my laptop was plugged in and on and there was an update.

Not really sure why this is happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need my S7 with me and being portable.

I fought this problem for months until I ran across this solution.  The shutdowns in my S7-392 were getting progressively more frequent,  until it was shutting down multiple times every day, especially at startup in the morning.   Then I tried this very simple solution, and the problem disappeared immediately and completely.   It requires a Torx-6 screwdriver, which you can find at most tool stores.   In my case, the screw only took about 1/4 turn to feel tight.  Don't go too far. Don't strip the screw.  Just make sure it is reasonably tight.
