Acer One 10 Tablet Laptop Turns on ,but only Blank Black Screen! HELP!

Its my first time posting here, so please excuse my lack of computer part terms. I've only had this laptop for a little over a month and it was running perfectly fine I shut it down properly and everything. Then I go to turn it on and the blue light on the side indicates that it's on, however the screen is just black and sometimes it flashes. I've tried holding down the power button and the volume button at the same time it worked about twice and then my laptop worked perfectly fine. But about two weeks ago it just stays blank when I turn it on the lights are all on and its fully charged and even when it plugged in its still blank. I've never spilled any liquids on it nor have I ever left it in the car. I'm at my witts end on this, I know I can send it back to the manufacture, but ideally I would like to use that as a very last resort.

So there's a step between just turning it on and doing the power and volume thing. If it's in a hung sleep state the power button just lights the charge indicator and the power and volume only works when powering up from off. Try pressing the power button for 30 seconds. That will force a full power off. Once you are sure it's off you can try a normal power on (Windows might take a bit longer to load since it's liable to want to check the disk). If the power on still doesn't work then do the long press again to make sure it's off and give the power and volume thing a try again. That should get you into recovery mode.
