I have an external monitor connected to my Aspire E5-575G, and would like to connect one more. But I don't see any way to do that.

  • Hi,

Are you using HDMI Port for the current external monitor? If so, try connecting the second monitor with VGA Port.

Thanks! My current monitor (HP LP2065) doesn't have an HDMI port. I'd like the second monitor to be the same type. Could I use an HDMI-to-VGA cable or adapter to connect it to the Acer HDMI port?

Would that allow the two monitors to operate as one very-wide monitor, so I could move items from one monitor to another by dragging with the mouse as if they were one monitor?

  • Hi,

Sorry, I have no experience with the setup you are looking for but please wait for someone else to help you.

    Hi,

you can conect one monitor per output video, in this case one monitor in VGA, other in HDMI and other in USB-C type.

max resolution on VGA is 1920x1080, over HDMI is 2560x1440 but actually I have a problem with it... and USB-C until now I have not found the answer.

My current monitor, connected via VGA, works fine in 1600 x 1200 (its native resolution).
