  • Hey guys i have an Acer Aspire V3-575G, and it says I have 2.5Ghz and with turbo boost goes to 3.1Ghz but when I see it on task manager it never goes beyond 2.9 and when I start a game (like pubg) the cpu starts to go to1.8 then 2.9 and always changing and I get extremely low fps.... Any advise for me?

    Hi,
Which Power plan are you on? If you are using Balanced plan, switch to High Performance plan.

What temperatures are you getting? It almost looks like throttling.

I was wrong it showed turb boost technology was enabled but after a restart it again changed to "disable" I tried installing the turbo boost driver but still the same :-(

Install last driver of Intel turbo boost and the last driver of kabylake in Acer site and you see in xtu your turbo boost are enable after that steps.

Did u read what was said above the advertised turbo boost max clock speed its for 1 core in use only and your cpu by the model u posted ( 6th gen Core i7-6500U (2-core, 2.50 – 3.10 GHz, 4MB cache) only has 2 cores so 2.8 or 2.9 will always be the max u will get you will never have one core only working to reach the 3.1 hope this answers you issue and the gpu u have guessing it's the (GeForce 940M 4GB DDR3) it won't help either  you will always have low fps on almost all games especially newer ones your gpu/cpu  are completely outdated (regarding gaming) minimum requirements to play games without issues these days its a gtx 1050ti 4gb and the recommended its a 1060 or for the best max performance would be either a 1070 or if possible a 1080 and at least an i5 or i7 7th gen also if possible 8th gen but no need as 7th gen do the job properly anyway and the 8th gen heat up a lot and need tweaking/possible repasting to lower the temps so as i said regarding you poor performance with your aspire on games no one can help you it's up to you to decide if you want to invest in a proper gaming laptop/desktop or stay as you are
