Finally decided to upgrade to 1440p/144hz, and found a good deal for this monitor on amazon. However, upon hooking it up I noticed a greasyness to the bright colors that looks like a crude mix between film grain and vasoline. After troubleshooting for a while, with different connections/resolutions/color settings, it looks like it's a coat on the screen itself. Poking around on the internet leads me to believe it's a heavy anti-glare coat, heavier than on any monitor I've used before. Has anyone had a similar experience with one of these displays? Is my only option to return/RMA it?
