Aspire 4830TG how unlock advanced bios ?

Hi everyone,

I have a technical problem (contacts and bouton power really broken and repairable) and so I absolutely need to go in my ADVANCED BIOS to configure a way to start my computer with an other system (like in this tutorial).

But the Advanced menu is not there in my Acer. I tried 2 mods to flash my bios but I can't find the good one apparently since I'm in x64bits.

So does someone could help me please to unlock the advanced bios ?

In the meantime,I let my computer only in sleep mode. (else I have to start it only with a pin to make contact) LOL

I don't understand the nature of the problem.

What is broken?

What make of BIOS are you trying to flash?

And what is wrong with booting into Windows 7?

If you want another OS to boot either use something like easybcd, refind or a virtual disk and openSuse.

Lots of potential workarounds I think.

And what tutorial?

What is definitively broken is just my power on/off button + all the circuit linked to that. (trust me, I tried to repair it for days with friends, it's impossible).

So my problèm now could be easy to resolve (according to this tutorial) if I could have the advanced Bios features (that are hidden now) to configure a new way to swith on (start) my computer with an other way than the usual one (even if the tutorial is in french, if you look at the pictures, you will understand what I mean)

I'm sorry, english is not my first language and maybe the term "boot" was not the good term here. But I just want to light him on, to start on.

Anyway, my real question here is how to unlock the advanced bios in this Acer 4830TG ? I found 2 mods but they didn't work because Im in x64bits (all the mods seem to be in 32bits).
