BIOS reset

I bought an Aspire laptop 1.5 months ago.  One morning the laptop failed to boot. Nothing was on the screen at all even I had pressed the power button. I took the laptop to Acer service center. The center told me that the BIOS needed to be reset. The problem was recently fixed by pressing a tiny hole at the back of the laptop.  Is this a hardware problem?  I do not wish for me to reset the computer again.  Can I get a replacement or money back from Acer?

    laptop model?

by the way, the tiny hole is the battery reset hole, sometime the system hangs on boot and you did the right thing to unfreeze it.

it can happen from time to time, if it's a single time issue, why you need to ask for a replacement or money back?

maybe you just need to update the BIOS.

press windows logo key + r

    type

    msinfo32

    report BIOS DATE/Version

    I'm not an Acer employee.
