"Burn-in" (?) on GN276HL

I havent done much research but based on what little research I've done, I think what my monitor has is similar to a burn-in. I was happy that I paid 200$ for a monitor with 144 hz and 27" but then as soon as I booted up a game, I got this effect of a multicolored shadow appearing on the edges of moving objects. I have included 2 videos, I know that this is the monitor and not the display adapters or graphics drivers etc. One is of in-game recording, and one is of a recording of the screen.

Any help to fix this issue is greatly appreciated! If there is no solution, I'll simply return the monitor and get a different one.
