Yesterday I have decided to replace my Aspire SATA HDD with SDD one. I took SandDisk 520GB SDD. Using Reflect I have mirrored the hardisk from the laptop to the SDD one. After replacing it, the notebook booted ok and everything seemed to work, with one exception - the touch pad was not functional. It was possible to attach USB mouse and was ok. After following some advised steps for similar issues, from this comunity: like reinstalling the chipset driver, the touch pad driver and etc., nothing solved the problem. Then I have decided to play a little with the BIOS and changing the touchpad mode from Avanced to Basic solved the problem.
