Hello everyone, I was brought here from Gateway. My Gateway NV52B19u is 12 days passed its warranty and I have just spent the last 30 hours of my awake life putting in a new hard drive and re-installing all my software, drivers, and updates on my gateway NV51B91u Notebook. I was just about to do the last thing and flash the BIOS and in the middle of flashing the bios THE POWER WENT OUT!  Yes, the power went out! What are the odds! Someone hit a pole from the snowy roads and knocked it out and after the power came back on, I went to turn on the laptop and all that happens is a blank screen and the fan runs. The battery wasn't installed in it at the time so yeah, I'm pretty much SOL right now. My laptop has the same exact motherboard that is also in an Acer ASpire 5253 and the emachine E644. The motherboard can be seen at this link. http://www.skyline-eng.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=8245 I've done everything I can find to flash the BIOS back to normal. When it turns on the fan just runs on high with a blank screen. All the USB flashing procedures I've tried, none have worked, however the bootblock is still good because I can see it trying to pull info off the flash to boot. Just can't figure out what to rename the file so it work. If anyone can help me, you would be helping my whole family because I use this laptop to make a living.
