I have an Acer Aspire E 15 575G-54F9 With Intel Core i5 7200U, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 940MX, 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a 500GB SSD. I've been very happy with it, but when I opened the back to upgrade the RAM I found that at the bottom left there is an empty compartiment in it with quite some space. I don't really know what to do with it, can i upgrade my laptop, what are the possibilities?. Extra Ssd, battery, cooling fan?. I really don't know what to do with it, can you guys help me out with it?

    Hello,

This space is reserved for an extra HDD/SSD cased. Do you already have the HDD cable? You also need this kit. In all cases, I can give you the parts list.

I do have a "Crucial MX300 525GB SATA 2.5" 7mm (with 9,5mm adapter) Internal SSD". But I don't have an Ssd cable and surely not a HDD because I have an SSD. The cable that my laptop uses is a 6Gbps SATA cable. Do I have to use the same SSD for the upgrade?
I hope this information helps you,
    Regards,

    Hi Mateo,

Do I have to use the same SSD for the upgrade?

    The same as what?

Sorry I made a mistake. You won't need an HDD cable since this series is equipped with a SATA socket:

    LT-E5-575BT

Here is the parts list of the HDD/SSD bracket:

I meant the same SSD that's already in the laptop. Also what is a sata socket?
And also, isn't there any other upgrade possibilities like an extra cooling fan?.
My laptop could really use that
