I have no ITknowledge, so anyone that can help me would be fabulous.  I have just purchased the above laptop.  I am delighted with it but everytime I try to download windows 10 it says I haven't got enough storage.  I haven't put anything on it like music, photos etc.. I have downloaded Skype and an Anti Virus.... can someone please help me .... thank you all

    Hi

The unit has a 'small' amount of storage (32 Gb at a guess) expandable via the SD card slot.

So the download and install process needs more space than you have, therefore try to add an SD card to help out.

Otherwise it is deleting unwanted stuff, pruning the install etc etc.

"14-inch Acer Aspire One Cloudbook featuring  64GB of flash storage. If you can do with less onboard drive space, there's a cheaper, model featuring just 32GB of eMMC memory. For those who prefer a smaller and more portable machine, Acer also offers an 11-inch Cloudbook although it comes with just 16GB of local storage."

Yes, this is an issue with most cloudbooks as the assumption is that most of your storage, apps & other software will either be stored online (the "cloud") or as Doughjohn suggested on external storage devices like a USB stick.

However, your particular problem right now is not downloading Win10 itself (your machine already has factory-installed Win10), but probably with downloading its updates. While Win10 updates are generally a good idea if you have enough storage available, they are optional, not required for your continued use of the machine, and can be turned off.

Accordingly, you can go to Control Panel and search for "updates". In the options that should appear, you can turn off automatic Win10 updates.

Hello Jack and thanks for your response.

I think you are right that it comes with Windows 10 loaded because it said it does... and yes I am trying to load Windows 10 update...so you are right there two.... However the reason I was trying to do this was because I have a fitbit and no mobile device.  I have plugged in my dongle but it is not reading it... so I tried to download the Windows Ap and it say I need Windows and round in the circle I go........ Should I be doing something different to activate my Windows Package....

Was it ever paired to any other device whether mobile or immobile? Jack E/NJ

Is the dongle still paired with the old laptop? If 'yes', the old laptop should be turned off or otherwise unpaired from the dongle when you're trying to pair the dongle with the new laptop.

What website are you trying to download it from? I'll take a look at it.
