Hey,

When playing videos from the non-SDD disk, I get stuttering and I'm wondering:

1) Why does this happen ? I tried Windows media player and the Film/TV app - changed buffering to 15 or more seconds but this still happens.

2) I tried to switch from the intel HD to Nvidia (in the Nvidia control panel) for these two programs but the option is greyed out. Is there any way I can try to play with the NVidia card instead?

I don't seem to get it when running from the SSD.

I also don't get stuttering in games.

The Intel HD driver is the latest as per Acer's support page.

There are no fans running, seemlingly no heat issues and it happens with or without the power connected.

Thanks,

Fnorrbart

You have a hard disk that you are running things from? I would look at defragmenting that, you could run chkdsk on it and you can also download crystaldiskinfo and check if there are any problems with your drive.
