Aspire TC-780 AMZK5 Can I add m.2 Pcie drive using an adapter and have it boot from that drive?

    Why an adapter? IIRC, you already have a M.2 2280 slot.

    Yes, that M.2 slot is SATA and I would like a Pcie Drive.

    Okay but where would you install this SSD? PCIe X16? Personally I will keep this slot for a graphic board upgrade.

    and i suspect it will not be able to boot from PCIex, i never seen it supported on Acer desktops.

    Bob149, did you ever have success installing the m.2 PCIe SSD using an expansion card in the 16x16 slot?  I am hoping to do the same thing after discovering that my new TC-780's M.2 slot only supports SATA M2 drives.  I already purchased the PCI M.2 drive.
