Acer Aspire Ultrabook Webcam disappointing. How to fix it?

Has anyone else been as disappointed as myself in the perfomance of the S3 Ultrabook Components.  So far the Webcam has been giving me driver issues and now it's partiacially recognized.  When I requested to send it in for warranty they close the case and leave no comments as to why it's closed or how to proceed.

Currently the webcam will work horribly for 5 minutes before freezing and then instantly the device is not found then it reappears.  It has lines going across the image as if there is some sort of power issue.  Besides the fact that the battery is useless it seems that this should be fixed as Acer must have messed up on this one.

SO what to do next?

Have you tried a factory recovery? If not try it and check, if the issue persist contact acer technical support of your country and arrange service. Let me know the country of purchase.

    Hey Suniljp

Thanks.  I tried everything.  factory recovery and booting into Ubuntu linux.  The webcam will come on for 5 minutes then freeze and become a unknown device.  It's obviously a physical haedware defect but i've submitted multiple request via the website and they close them without giving me a email response or notification.

I'm in the USA if you have a number.
