Context menu disappears on touch /Iconia W700/

Hello everybody!

 

I have been using my new Windows 8 touch screen tablet for a couple of days but I have encountered an annoying problem.

 

When I am in desktop mode and, for example, my desktop version of skype or my dropbox icons are in the notification area on the down right corner, by touching the respective icons I am able to invoke the "right click" menus but as soon as I try touching the context menu (for example, to close skype or to see the recently updated files on dropbox) it disappears and I am neither able to close the programs, nor to perform any actions by touching the screen. This does not seem to happen with system icons but at least happens with the aforementioned programs.

 

Any ideas how to solve that?

What I have noticed is that this only happens when the font of the context menu is somewhat blurred compared to the clear text on the display generally. Dropbox, Skype and Intel HD Graphics cause this to happen, whereas Norton, Dolby Home Theater and Bluetooth do not...
