I got it to charge a couple times but it stopped after a few seconds. Also, as long as I have it plugged in, the battery won't drain. It just won't charge. I should also note the battery seemed to act strange since I first powered on the laptop. The laptop wouldn't boot out of the box until I plugged it into the charger, yet when I plugged it in and booted into windows, the battery was at 100%. Then I unplugged it and it died in only a few minutes. Then I started having these issues.

I've already tried:

  • Using the pinhole on the bottom of the laptop to reset the battery
  • Updating the BIOS
  • Uninstalling, then reinstalling battery drivers in Windows device manager
  • trying every power outlet in the house
  • Made sure Windows Update is fully Updated
