Cannot factory reset my Aspire One 1-131

I have an Acer laptop with only 32GB eMMC onboard flash storage, i.e. no hard drive as such. I wish to do a factory reset to wipe all my personal info but it keep failing during the reset process. I assumed this is because it only has the 32GB motherboard memory and there is not enough space to reset, but then it also won't recognise USB install if I go in and change the BIOS from UEFI to legacy.

Any thoughts out there?

Thanks, Headley.

If you have an SD card with decent space free, try putting it in place. A lot of these types of tasks will use SD card space when they won't use thumb drives.

USB boots still require UEFI, but with secure boot disabled, IIRC.

I have the same model, it did NOT work.  Still the same error message.  I tried it with both an SD Card in and a USB drive in.
