Replace ES1-332 pre-installed OS with Ubuntu Budgie

Hi!

 

I've recently bought a Aspire ES1-332 with Celeron N3450. I wanted to install Ubuntu on this machine as most of our schoolworks are done with Linux. I've read this thread:

However, I am not sure if this method will work, as the thread states Linux Mint to be dual-booted on the machine, not replace the Windows with the distro.
