Help with my ACER Aspire 5534 laptop

After having my laptop less than 2 years.  I had to send it off to have it repaired due to the crack on the charging port end.  I was told that it was not covered under the warranty because this was an on going defect problem with all of the ACER Aspire 5534 laptops because of the poor design when open and closing it..It eventually cracks on you.  I am very disappointed as I have taken it to several computer shops and have gotten the same answer, they can fix it for me but it will cost around $200.  I have also researched the parts needed and it is very expensive to purchase just the parts.  The reason for the flickering is due to the design of the product.  I purchased my laptop from walmart with the insurance plan and now I've had it for almost three years and can only use it when it decides to charge because of this issue.  I am very disappointed and would love to get feedback on this item.
