Would booting Linux via live USB void warranty ?

I’m having wifi problems with my Chromebook 14. I want to run Linux on it from a live USB to check if the problem is a hardware issue or ChromeOS. To do so, the BIOS needs to be temporarily modified to allow booting from a USB drive. Would this affect the warranty?
