Aspire v5-552p-x617 - Turn-off problem

Hello,

I have a vAspire 5-552p-x617 laptop and the machine shots down while being used.

The way it happens: a fan like sound of something spinning starts. I am not sure whether it is the fan or the hard drive thou. This spinning last for about 30 seconds and then the machine shots down, just like that. Other times, the spinning repeats itsself few times and then the shot down. This happens most of the times. Other times, (rarely) the spinning goes on but the machine stays on and I can continue my work.

Another instance is a blue screen suddenly appperars with a error code as follows: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. This happen seldomly.

Is anybody aware of what is the issue?

Hi,

Is it overheating? Try installing HWmonitor or similar program to monitor the temps, and post the results here, if you can, you can try cleaning the fan and do a repaste of the CPU.
