When will the w700 core i3 ivy bridge be released

Hi I've been after a w8 tablet and have chosen the w700 as its a perfect price,the thing is there seems to be a refreshed version sporting the latest 3rd generation 1.8ghz corei3 (ivy bridge) keyboard case and a stylus as seen on the us store but I can't seem to find them anywhere in the UK does anyone know a release date or were I can purchase one thx

    you can get the ivy bridge version from value basket in the uk but you might as well get the i5. Its selling for £660 on amazon at the moment. Windows 8 needs 128GB hdd especially when you factor in newer games takes up 10gb

    That is because Acer is actually not selling the Ivy-Bridge version in Europe.

     

    For me it is totally absurdly that they try to get rid of old Intel-Hardware only(?)

    in Europe not taking into consideration that with this product (with this pricing)

    they could have ruled the europe win8-tablet-market for months... if they

     

    a) had solved the throttling issue with the actual i5 version

    or

    b) had released the i3 version with actual hardware

     

    I would be really interested in how many customers are waiting for one of these

    actions, while in the meanting waiting for the competitor products to compare ...

     

    In my opinion this has been a great marketing-failure of Acer .... sorry

    ok cheers thx for the help will wait a month or two and try raise a bit more cash and go for the core i5 and see if they sort the throttling and wifi problems
