Stylus included with W700P

I don't think anyone has posted this before, but some might find it useful.  This is the stylus that came with my W700P-6821.  As I've said earlier, I'm pretty impressed with it, as the plastic circle at the end allows me to make very accurate selections on the screen.  Writing/drawing isn't as accurate, though; for whatever reason, loops tend to be reduced in size from what I actually drew (maybe there's a digitizer setting for that?).  In any event, it's a worthwhile inclusion in the provided accessories.

I have a W700P also  rcvd 2/27/13. Stylus does nothing.  Draw with finger OK. Wonder if you can draw with your finger without any setting change.  Geat little machine , but stylus was a prime consideration in my purchase so hope to get this resolved. Fat fingers are selecting nearby stuff and missing my target.

That's odd.  Yes, I can draw with my finger, too; the stylus is just a lot more accurate in selecting things on the screen.

If your finger works on the screen but the stylus doesn't, the stylus is defective.  Perhaps you can get a replacement from Acer?

Thanks for reply wmm.  Acer support agrees with you that stylus is problem and sending replacement.  I can write with it just fine though on a 23" HP touch screen running Windows 7. That, I don't understand, just magic!

I am happy to report that Fed Ex delivered the replacement stylus 30 minutes ago and it works great on the W700P.

Works great on the W510 too.

I've been reading what you all have said regarding stylus use.  I have the Iconia w510 and have 3 different stylus pens that I have tried using in three different drawing apps, and each one is really strangely faulty - and I'm wondering if it's the tablet.  I attempt to draw a simple line and it comes out wavy instead of straight, each and every time.  I'm a little dissappointed as I purchased this tablet a week ago for the purpose of drawing on it (among other things) and it seems like it was a waste.  I hope I am wrong and that this problem can be fixed??  I would sincerely appreciate anyone's input!  For the record, I have purchased the acer iconia stylus pen, and am awaiting it's arrival to see if it will work at all.  If not, I may return this table and opt for another make... Thank you heaps in advance!
