Hey there,

I have an Acer one 10 S1001. And I am experiencing problems while booting up a live OS.

I have a Memory Card with Linux installed on it for live boot. But I couldn't find the Memory Card in my BIOS.

So I researched a little bit and found that in some of the other versions of Aptio BIOS Utility there is an option called Legacy Mode which apparently allows to boot up external devices. Now I tried to find the Legacy Boot mode everywhere in the BIOS. But I couldn't find it. I cannot even update the BIOS because according to a post I read in ecomputrz. com Aptio BIOS can be updated if and only if the motherboard is made by AMI.

So anyone up for a little help?

    It is not possible. Sorry

You can do a BIOS update via Acer Care Center or download it directly here.

Does that mean I will not be able to boot from a USB drive or USB optical cd drive?

no legacy BIOS option and no way to boot from memory card.

you can boot from an USB flash drive or USB HDD or USB DVD/CD only if the bootable device is UEFI compatible.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

You could use rufus to make a Legacy Boot medium efi bootable.
