Can't Delete a File/Folder in D:drive

Hopefully I am posting on the correct Board....I couldn't find anything for Aspire E 15 laptops.

Anyhow, I downloaded a file. Now for some reason, it is showing as being stored on d:drive.....but I do not have a d:drive that I know of because I don't have anywhere to actually insert a disk.

I cannot delete this file. When I try to delete it from files it says that it is open somewhere else. When I search for it, I see it in d:drive but when I right click on it it doesn't give me the option to delete. It gives me options such as "eject" which is hilarious because I don't have a disc tray on this laptop.

Someone please help! This file is taking up over 5 gb of space and I want it gone!!

Thanks, Lynn

Hi everyone (or no one since I haven't had any replies LOL):

I answered my own question. I right-clicked on the d:/drive that was showing the downloaded file and clicked on "eject" even though there is no disc tray to eject (weird). The file disappeared from there and I was able to delete as normal through files and folders.

Phew...good thing I figured this out because I don't think anyone was planning on helping me out.

    Thanks anyhow. Lynn
