I tried clicking on some stuff, but my Chromebook will NOT click. Tapping works, but I can't click. Have tried slipping a card in there to get out dust, but the laptop still doesn't click. Tried hardware refresh, didn't work.

    Just covering the bases:

The Chromebook touchpad mechanical click works by firmly pressing down the lower half of the touchpad (closest to you) until you hear a noise from it, like a mouse click.

It doesn't do anything unless the cursor is in a screen position where click means something.

If it doesn't respond the mechanical switch could be broken. You can't fix it by pushing things into the touchpad or case, just make things worse.
