Revo 3600 Video playback stutter

Problem: video playback stutters on some videos encodes in VLC.

Seems to occur mainly when I go fullscreen.

The file is sports video:

Type: MPEG-4

Size: 1.07Gb

Duration: 1h 36m

Overall bitrate: 1598kbps

Video Codec : 2-pass x264 (.mp4 container)
Video Bitrate : 1500 kbps
Video Framerate : 25 fps
Resolution : 720 X 400p
Audio Codec : AAC; 48000 Hz; Stereo; 96 kbps

I've enabled "Use GPU accelerated decoding" (VDPAU) in VLC. Most of the searches I do land me on XBMC forums/settings.

Anyone with any ideas?

Does the problem occur in another media player? Does all video playback stutter, or only MP4s? Did the problem just recently start happening?

It does happen in other players. I tried SMPlayer portable and it stutters. I tried Media Player Classic portable and that seems to work.

These same files work fine in VLC on my Acer AX1700 desktop integrated video card.

I should mention that I have checked my nvidia drivers and they are up to date according to Windows.

Is your system noisy or does it get hot? You may try blowing it out with compressed air. Also, you could potentially have software on the system that could be causing it to lag when playing video. You may try removing unecessary programs, and possibly reformatting the system, to see if that resolves your issues.

It does not get hot. I've removed unnecessary programs. I stopped all unnecessary services. I thought ION was supposed to handle this? I've read where others can get HD to play and I can't get a standard mp4 to play smoothly. Is there anything else?

My only other suggestions would be to reload your OS, and see if the video will play on a clean load, or contact your regional service center to inquire about service.
