Can someone tell me how to upgrade the bios on a TC-780 to the latest version R02-A2. I have downloaded the bios, now what?

Which version has your system right now?
If it's R02.xx you just need to run the flash.bat file on the Win folder inside the zip file.

I thought your solution would work; however, I am not able to run the Flash.bat file. When I double click on the extracted batch file nothing seems to happen (I can see a brief flash, but nothing shows). I also made sure I was running the file as administrator.

Any idea why the batch file does not execute?

I do have Norton 360 virus protection running. Current bios is R02-A1. I can see the command window popup and immediately closes. Too fast to see if there are any error messages.

disable Norton and try again or you can try to run the flash.bat from command prompt.

you can press Shift + right click mouse and then choose Open command prompt here

    then type

    flash

    and press enter

Ok, when I ran the command as you described I got an error that is probably causing the problem (don't know how to fix that either...):

10 - Error: Unable to load driver.

then press windows logo key + x

click on Command prompt (admin) or power shell (admin)

    then type

    cd c:\WIN

    flash.bat

    Hi All:

First thanks for your help! I followed your instructions but received the an error (see photos). This appears different than errors noted elsewhere in the community (https://community.acer.com/t5/Aspire-Desktops/TC-780-Kaby-Lake-BIOS-Acer-BIOS-R02-A01-not-compatible-with/td-p/483955). I have AVAST but disabled while running Admin command prompt as instructed. Any help is greatly appreciated! This is a brand new ATC-780A-UR12. Yesterday I installed a second 8GB RAM DIMM. Planning on installing a m2 SSD. Many thanks for help.

    Best,

Did this, after the block update/delete/verify process was done it said at the bottom of the cmd window that "there was another one in progress" so it couldn't continue because I was trying to do acer's method prior to this one without restarting, so I restarted my computer hoping I didn't mess anything up and it updated anyway, but I decided to re-install the bios with your method again just to make sure there's no glitches that could corrupt from the last half *****$ed installation. lol
