Hello community,

I just installed windows 7 on the given laptop, but dont have any possibility to grab official drivers for this laptop.

Now i wanted to know if there is any way to get the components to work, like from reading the hardware-id or smth. ?

Sitting here and hitting my head against the wall and would be thankful for any type of help.

The system was installed with Legacy-Bios (didnt work with UEFI) and I had to boot from DVD because the USB drive wont work in any format and I tested more than 1 drive.

As stated i would be very happy if someone could give me a hint of how to fix it, Windows 10 which was pre-installed is no alternative for me.

Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager.
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Where you see the Yellow exclamation mark, double click it, choose "Details" tab, from the dropdown menu choose "HardwareIDs", click the first string and copy/paste it here.

but you must know that Microsoft disabled all  the OS updates on windows7/8 installed on new CPUs PC.

    hey,

    thanks for the feedback.

will check and post it immediatly.

For the missing support and updates I wanted to use the program "WSUS Offline", it should install all the needed updates.

I tried and dowloaded the x64 update to my pc, then copied it to the new laptop, but there was a error message

Is it possible to install Win7 under UEFI?

Is installation of both Win7 and Win10 impossible from USB?

    Cheers Smiley Happy

You can run a computer with Windows 7 or Windows 10 from a USB but only 1 of them.

    Thanks for your reply!

Sorry for the confusion, but I am not interested in running Windows from USB, just install it.

I could not get anything to work, not even the DVD. Had to send it to a repair shop and have

them install Windows for me. In the user manual that came with the laptop, it say:

    1. Turn on the computer

    2. Follow the instructions.

Well, no instructions... Only some DOS-looking Linux **bleep**.

    My last Acer purchase...

Hey, dont know if the problem is not still actual, but i try my best ^^ If you have an Windows 7-DVD, then you should switch in the BIOS to UEFI and in the "boot order option" to switch to the DVD - Rom as 1st priority. Also enable the "boot-menue" and restart the laptop. When you restart it, quick tap on F9 or F12, in my case it was F9 and then the boot for WIn 7 wil begin Smiley Happy When you hit the Menu with the storage option, remove all the partions and create a new one, the Installation will itself make the work. But in my case the installation is only the start of the struggle to find the right hardware drivers to get going xD Good luck Smiley Happy
