I just installed two 4gb ram sticks but the machine is not picking up one of them.....is there a cure for this???

Even in task manager it still says i have 4gb of ram instead of 8gb which it should be now.

    Hello,

Could you give me the brand and the part number of the memory modules?

Probably the original one is Hynix.

    Hello,

    Your desktop only supports DDR3L (1.35V) - 1333MHz. Patriot Viper PV38G160LC9SK is DDR3 (1.5V) -1600MHz so incompatible.

And yet one is still working?? How is that possible if incompatible?

I checked their document again and it is a bit confused:

    • Viper SODIMM Series, DDR3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz Kit
    • Voltage: 1.35V so DDR3L
    • Timing: 9-9-9-24

There is no informations if they run at 1333MHz in dual channel. When you install only one memory module, it runs at 667MHz in single channel. You should contact them and ask them if these ones run at 1333MHz:

    FYI, Hynix gives all features:
