Control Monitor settings (brightness, etc.) from Desktop

Hello,

is there any way the Monitor settings (B326HK in my case) can be controlled through software from the Desktop (Windows/Linux) instead of using the buttons/menus on the monitor itself?

This would be very helpful, especially in controlling the backlight/brightness of my monitor.

Are there any tools ? Is this even possible using DisplayPort ?

Best regards, Chris

I figured it out: Controlling the Monitor can be done using the Display Data Channel

There is a linux tool for it: ddcutil

It talks to the monitor using I2C and it can control brightness, contrast, color preset, input source etc.
