Does the Acer Iconia W5 running windows 8 support java

    Yes, windows 8 has the same desktop as windows 7 has and so I still don't know any incompatibilities.

    I've been trying to find this out also.

     

    Is the version of Windows 8 in the new Iconia tablets the Windows 8RT or just a lesser version of Windows 8 Pro? 

     

    If I can't run Java on this device then it won't work for me as I need Java for account login support.

    Iconia W5 is a Atom based Windows 8 tablet. The only limitation to the tablet to other windows 8 systems would be the processor and drive size. It should run all programs, excluding most games of course.
