Hi.  I would like more info about the Predator 17 X before getting one.

Are the parts replaceable by the user such as the HD, graphics card, disc player, battery?
Will the hardware such as the fans make too much noise to be used in a class?
Will any part of the system ever break due to over heating?
How do you contact Acer by email?

    1. Only HD, RAM and SSD can be replaced as well as the battery. GPU and CPU cannot be replaced because they are soldered to the motherboard.

    2. Depends on what software you are going to use in class. If Microsoft Office, sometimes you won't hear any sound at all(fans - 0rpm), but If the fans are spinning the noise is weak and not disturbing. But if you use a software for graphic design, then the laptop might get a bit louder.

    3. Nothing will break due to overheat(at least as far as I know), but you might have to change the thermal paste on the processor with a btter one(see previus topics)

    4. Go to acer's website.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
