What's the maximum size MicroSD card I can use in my SA5-271?  The cards are getting big enough (I've seen up to 512 GB) to seriously augment the storage, but the big ones are too expensive to buy one just to see if it will work.

    Hello,

According to the Acer specifications of SA5-271:

    • Micro SD card (SDXC) up to 128 GB
    • Not to be confused with: SSD 96GB up to 512 GB
    France

Thanks, even though it's disappointing.  I searched the documentation and couldn't find that in the manual.  It just talks about SDXC cards having up to 2 TB capacity but says nothing about the computer itself.

200GB works in mine! It's SDXC (this one)

do know the SA12's microSD card reader is on USB2.0 bus not USB3.0 bus so it is very slow. this is my benchmark on my 200GB card: http://imgur.com/a/aC08w

I'm pretty sure Acer just stuck a generic USB2.0 microSD card reader in this laptop and that any GB capacity you can buy right now will work...

Ah, excellent.  So maybe it's an SDXC slot after all, even if it's slow.  Thanks.
