Acer Aspire V 13 - V3-331-P2XZ - doesn't boot/start after recovery - Windows 8.1

Hi,

 

Having gone through a recovery process using recovery disks supplied by Acer, the computer just won't boot up - all I get is a black screen and a cursor.

 

I've tried booting in safe mode, but this doesn't work. I've also tried pressing Alt + F10 > Troubleshooting > Reset your PC and Refresh your PC. I am given the option of selecting operation system (Windows 8.1) and am then prompted to insert recovery media but none of the disks work and I don't have any other recovery media.

 

I've also tried an automated repair, but I get a message back saying that it wasn't possible to repair.

 

Can anyone suggest what I should do now?
