Thanks for trying!  I had taken this pretty far up the Acer phone help system and they had the same problem.  For my version of either W10 or my Acer processor or the Synaptics pad lacks the controls for Sensitivity adjustments.   The frustrating part is a previous version of the Synaptics Glide Pad in a older Acer Laptop which I really liked had a link in the Prop Box that would take me to numerous glidepad adjustments such as sensitivity and 2 finger taps, 3 finger taps and the ability to control the edges and corners or the pad.  I typically turn those options off but I need the Sensitivity - in part because of nerve damage in my hand that prevents me keeping my finger tips from touching the pad when I would rather not touch it. My fingers flinch uncontrollably forcing me to remove my hand from the pad when not using it.  Thanks again...

Did we figure out what was different that your system allows adjustments and mine does not?  Is it my version of W10 - which I think is Home?   Maybe of I upgrade to W10 Pro?  Think that is the difference?

Pro vs home no difference on touch pad. More likely in the touchpad driver files. My system does not even show synaptics even tho I know its there.  Also- the settings in bios- basic vs advanced modes effect how it operates.  I would play with that, change to basic in bios, then type touchpad into cortanna search, click on the touchpad in popup box and play with settings there. Then repeat in advanced mode (change to advanced in bios) then back to touchpad settings in windows to get to your liking. A note, if you have usb mouse plugged in depending on your current settings you can not even adjust touchpad. It has to be "on" even when external mouse detected in ordser for you to adjust it or better leave external mouse off.  As for the physical pad, they do "break in" and at first can seems jumpy until it wears some. (been my experiance).

Thanks!  I'll try your suggestions.  BTW, I keep the pad turned on even though I have the USB mouse plugged in.  I usually stay away frim BIOS but will look for the Advanced and Standard switch.  If I am careful and don't change anything except what you suggested I shouldn't get in trouble.  Thanks again!
