Is there a way to tell the touchpad vendor on my laptop? The crappy old hardware detection utility won't tell it to me.

I have installed Windows 10 on the laptop and now I have a generic PS/2 mouse driver only. I need the vendor specific driver since I must disable tap-to-click feature which drives me crazy.

The drivers page of the laptop offers me three equally non-working driver choices (Synaptics, ELANTECH & ALPS) and I wish that if I could identify the vendor, I could find a newer driver from somewhere else.

ps. If I cannot resolve the issue, I will literally trash the thing with a baseball bat and buy a proper laptop. And, the vendor of the new laptop won't be Acer.
