Intel GMA 3600 New Driver From Intel

intel just released a new driver for intel gma 3600 i  can't install it it says it's "not validated for this computer"

Only a couple of issues that I can see:

1. We have no idea what computer you have.  Please be sure you include that information in your reply.
   
   
2. We do not directly support third party hardware or software.
   Yes, that's Intel, but we do not support their downloads.  All downloads for our systems are available on our Driver pages.

Pursuant to #2 above, I'll make one final suggestion.

 

Attempt using the "Have Disk" installation instructions.

pp too have tried this driver and get the same message. Using a gateway lt4010u. Its ashame that intel can not make a driver that works with windows8.  Yet microsoft continue to allow a full upgrade to windows 8 passing the graphic card.  Who is in bed with who?  We know intel can fix this problem, But because they think that the netbook market is dead, they are completely wrong.  Acer is just as much at fault for not warning customers of this issue. People are plopping down  hard earn dollars down on machine that have this driver for netbooks with no warning what so ever.  Fix the problem.

Using have disk as Tommy suggests, and then the driver from this site: http://www.motioncomputing.com/support/driver_download_910_win7.asp It's the latest driver, much newer than the one Acer provides, but only marginally better...
