G9-593 (gtx 1070) not booting on battery

Hi everyone, i own G9-593 with gtx 1070 and the laptop is great i can say but this morning around 5am (Arabian timezone +3) when i was watching movie while on battery, around 5mins of watching the laptop suddenly shut off (totally dead with no warning) and i thought the battery drain, when i plug the AC adapter and boot up again i notice that the battery still have a charge and it is 100%, i tried to unplugged the AC adapter while the laptop is working (battery at 100%) the laptop shut down immediately as soon the AC adapter remove. this laptop is 1 month old and i also used it on battery on daily basis.

Anyone have any idea what is the problem? TIA

one thing to try is to tighten the bottom cover screws, this can help if the back cover sensor is too sensitive.

or try a power reset:

what back cover sensor do you mean? and what is the purpose of that?

this morning i tried again to turn on the laptop with battery only and its working now. anyone could explain what happen when it is not booting up on battery even the battery is 100% charged. TIA

there's a sensor that check if the bottom cover is well closed or not, if some screws went loose, this sensor will prevent the laptop to turn on.

For those who still have this great laptop and might have this issue......mine did the same thing. I removed the cover because I have two M.2 SSDs stacked. Unfortunately the bottom one tends to run a little hot (about 55 C) so with the cover off it drops about 10 degrees due to me using a laptop cooler. I attempted to boot it without the power cord and it didn't boot. I checked the status of the battery in the ACER CARE CENTER program and it says the battery is fully charged. As soon as I put the cover back on it booted immediately from the battery no problem.
