Hi, I have a Acer Predator G3-710 desktop. The HDMI port has a plastic cover over it, is it removable? If so, how do I remove it?

Thank you,

  • Hello,

You can remove it carefully with a small flat screwdriver. It's only a hood/cap like the DP port.

Laurent only told how to remove the plastic cover... The real question is why do you want to remove the cover, and the obvious answer is to use that port for another monitor. Unfortunately the BIOS in the G3-710 supports either using the motherboard video (when there's no graphics adapter in the x16 slot) or the video from a graphics card. It doesn't support both at once. If you need more monitors connected you need to look into graphics cards that support more than the stock one does.
