I have the media created when the PC was new. I replaced the failing hard drive with a good equivalent hdd and restored the operating system. After it finished installing all the software and drivers it reboots and connot find the hdd. In the BIOS it cannot see the hdd. What's going on here?

Thanks,

If the hdd is not recognized by the BIOS then this usually means the drive is bad or the hdd controller on the mainboard is bad. Since you've already tried a new hdd you can try another if you have one. Otherwise we would recommend repair at that point.
