Can I buy a set of restore disks for an Aspire 3003CLi. Last owner of this system replaced the hard.

Hello all,

I would like to know if: I can buy a set of restore disks for an Aspire 3003CLi. Last owner of this system replaced the hard disk, but did not copy or create the restore partition. He is now deceased and no longer communicating with me so I can't ask him why he did it.

It was nice of him to leave me the laptop, but basically, he's trashed the WIN XP installation. I tested the WD hard drive with their diags program and it is fine. The system does WEIRD things, crashes unexpectedly and will NOT run a very simple program that I have used on at least 50 other Windows machines.

He also has a LINUX partition on the system that might be problematic. Anyway, I just want to start clean with a rebuilt system. Can anyone help please?

Well i believe Acer is able to create the recovery disk to about 4 years out from the MFG date. check the site. www.store.acer.com

Thanks Joshua. Checked ACER and they say no recovery media is available for this system. Thanks anyway, but I gues I need to contact someone that has a 3003CLi and see if they'll help.
