So i have got an Acer Aspire E1-571G, and i would like to get a new RAM, becouse i already have 4gb, and would like another one of 4gb, so in total i have 8gb.. Is that possible for my laptop? Or it "exceeds manufacturer supported memory"?

Thanks! Smiley Happy

    Hi Andro99,

    1. Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

    2. You can find the brand and the part number of your current memory module with HWiNFO portable version (no installation). This series was shipped with Nanya, Micron, Kingston, Elpida, Adata and Hynix modules.

I know this is a old thread but I have the same type of question. I have a Acer Aspire 3 A317-51-39BD it has 8G ram onboard (2X4G ram) expandable to to 12G ram however the cpu i3 8145u and claims to support 64g ram. I also read 32G ram is the recommended max. I have seen some posts that say 20 G is being used on some 317 51Gs that the max was 12G from Acer. A friend gave me a 16G ram strip ddr4 260 pin 2133mhz 17000 the 4G ram board from the factory is ddr4 260pin 2133mhz 17000. So my question is seeing as all the specs read the same other than the capacity of ram can I install the 16G ram card in my Acer giving me a total of 20G ram even though Acer says its expandable to only 12G.
