Half a year ago I've bought this laptop and now it's time to upgrade RAM. As the laptop uses intel N3700, the maximum amount of RAM according to the Intel site is 8gb. Nevertheless Acer support team told me, that it's possible to install 2x8gb sticks. After dissassembling the laptop I've found out, that the second sodimm slot mount is not soldered.
So what's the best RAM upgrade solution in your opinion?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Maximum memory for your laptop is 8GB but as the other memory module looks removable(from your picture) and the Acer support team has confirmed that it can be upgraded to 16GB, you can try installing 2x8GB DDR3L memory like this:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hynix-original-204-pin-PC3L-12800-1600MHz/dp/B00ILWIAEW
16GB may or may not work, it's up to you to try.
On the otherhand, if you have 4GB installed add another 4GB of similar speced memory stick to be on the safe side.
