Acer One 10 S1002 Charging Issues

I'm having some issues with charging my Acer One 10 tablet, which I purchased just a couple months ago. A few weeks ago my charging cable would not work unless I twisted it at a certain angle. Assuming that this was a short or defect with the cord, I ordered a replacement. When that one didnt work either, I was sent a replacement. Since none of them have worked, I have to assume that there's something wrong with the charging port on the tablet itself.

Am I correct in assuming this? Do I need to have my tablet repaired, or is there something else I should try, like cleaning out the charging port?

I can't remember which charger type that uses. Is it the round connector or the micro USB? Either one could act up with the right (wrong?) combination of dirt or foreign objects. With the round one you also need to verify the center pin is there and not bent.

It uses the round connector to charge.

I'm currently having the same problem. The charging port no longer works. But you can get the unit to work if you plug in a USB charger. I tried it on a hunch and the unit powers up. But it won't charge. I've only had the unit for 5 months. It should be under warranty so I'm thinking of sending it in for repair or replacement. However when I try to register the product the Acer site doesn't recognize my SN number. It says it's invalid. But this the only number resembling a SN. Need help!!

Since you are under warranty you should be able to get it fixed for free. Try the Serial Number ID Tool to verify you are looking at the right number, and be sure to be on the correct Acer site for your locale.

I'll try but the thing now has ghost touching all over the screen. It's near impossible to use now.

Think the Acer registration page may be case sensitive.
